Salix (White Willow) is quite simply, one of the planet's finest plants!

Weeping Willow grows equally as quickly and creates a beautiful plant.

Fast growing and beautiful to look at the range of uses is incredible:

.Carbon sequestration

Willows capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere during photosynthesis, which can improve air and soil quality.

..Renewable energy

Willow trees can be used to generate renewable energy, such as heat and electricity.

.Soil erosion control

Willow trees' horizontal roots can help reduce soil erosion.

.Flood management

Willow trees can slow water flow, which can help reduce the risk of flooding.

.Biodiversity

Willow trees provide habitat for many species of insects, which in turn provide food for birds and other animals.

.Pollinator food

Willow trees' early flowering catkins provide food for bees and other insects in early spring.

.Windbreaks

Willow trees can protect against coastal or inland winds.

.Livestock protection

Willow leaves contain tannins, which can deter grazing animals and reduce the risk of bloat in ruminants.

Shading

Willow shoots can be used as a plastic-free shading option for greenhouses.

.Biomass energy production

Hedge Making and Living Structures, River Bank Shoring, Fence Making or just Beautiful Garden trees.
